My XP as MC in Venezuela
When I decide to be MC, I ever expect a lot of challenges and a space to meet myself and my XP in Venezuela has brought me this and more. Venezuela is a beautiful country, full of people who want to challenge themselves and to gain more XPs and knowledge.
At first time, was really hard for me trying to adapt me to the national culture, specially working virtually. For me was shocking when my first evaluation wasn’t good, especially when I feel I was working. But this become a challenge for me, and was my first challenge; to try to change that paradigm about the distance, and I did.
To be MC is more than create strategies, and take decisions, is to have the responsibility of have one country in your hands. To be MC means ever to try to give your best, more than 150%, because all a country is waiting this from you. To be an MC is believe than you are a really change agent, and you can challenge your team and teach them new points to understand the world. To be MC is to have the power to impact one country and improve it.
I had learn lot of things, as work with different backgrounds, delivery virtual sessions, and believe in what we do in AIESEC is really an impact.
To be an MC is that, is the best way to understand the essential of AIESEC, is transform you in someone who can impact in a group of people in a good way, is to prepare yourself to at the end of your term, and when you decide to take the H4TF stage, known how to impact the world.
When you are a MC, not all is perfect, I swear you. I can tell you to all are not roses. But at the end of the day, when you are tired, and you don’t want to know nothing more about AIESEC, that feeling of satisfaction of do all the things good, and see numbers which show you how your country is growing, is when you feel to all that work has not been in vain.
So, if you have the opportunity of to be a MC, I advise you to take that chance. And if you want to live something as what I had live, this is your opportunity…
